Therapeutic massage can help work out kinks and improve recovery between sessions. Our resident registered massage therapist Wendy Jans will be able to help discover the areas where your tissue quality is suffering and apply the appropriate techniques to help you improve function.  In fact, she’s been instrumental in the success of some of our top performing athletes who can now train harder and more often with the aid of proper massage!

My ongoing quest and passion to help others feel their best lead me to this career path as a massage therapist.  I graduated with honors from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Toronto in 2007. My goals are to establish a connection with my clients, address the underlying cause of their symptoms, bring relief of pain and discomfort and to educate my clients on injury prevention and health maintenance.

I draw from the many techniques I have learned including deep tissue and sports massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, joint play, Swedish massage and stretching and relaxation techniques.  This allows me to design an individual and unique massage treatment that fits the needs of each client, from sports enthusiasts to the general population.  I have been described by clients as the therapist who ”finds all the spots!”

Whether it’s muscle pain due to exercise, postural stress, repetitive strain injuries (driving too long, working at a computer or sports related), or from specific conditions such as arthritis, sciatica, carpal tunnel and chronic low back or neck pain or that you may just need to relax, the benefits of massage can be numerous and long lasting.

I believe massage therapy to be a lifestyle necessity and I am sincerely committed to working with each person to enhance their performance and bring about a positive change in their health and well being.
