Learn to Run Properly at CrossFit Quantum

CrossFit Quantum coaches are certified to teach the CrossFit Endurance curriculum. We teach you:

  1. How to run with correct mechanics to reduce pain and injury and to improve race speed.
  2. How to structure your training program for general fitness or for race performance.
  3. Why traditional endurance training programs will leave you tired, injured and performing
    below your capacity.
  4. How to eat for health and performance.

Running is a skill that takes practice to master. Just like you would not start in the sport of
Olympic Weightlifting or gymnastics without a qualified coach, running is also technical in nature
and needs proper coaching to become proficient. If you want to begin running, do it responsibly
and get the proper training and program design. Avoid the common pitfalls that lead to pain,
injury, weakness and stalled performance. If you have wanted to learn to run but were afraid,
this is the best place to start!


Learn to Run Program (approx 5-6 weeks):
Session #1: 1 Hour

  • Analyse film of current gait and running pattern.
  • Discuss training goals
  • Introduction to key concepts in correct running mechanics
  • Drill practice to develop correct mechanics
  • Homework for week 1 – 3×30min at home practice sessions.
  • Email support during the rest of the week.

Session #2: 1 Hour

  • Recovery techniques for endurance athletes and weekend warriors.
  • Continued drill practice.
  • Homework for week 2 – 3×30mins at home practice sessions
  • Email support during the rest of the week.

Session #3: 1 Hour

  • Nutrition and running
  • Continued drill practice
  • Homework for week 3 – 3×30mins at home practice sessions.
  • Email support during the rest of the week.

Session #4: 1hr

  • Why traditional endurance training is not optimal.
  • Continued drill practice
  • Development of individualized training plan for next 6 weeks, including technique practice.
  • Email support during the rest of the week.

Session #5: 40mins

  • Continued drill practice
  • Video analysis: comparison between original running technique and new mechanics.
  • Email support during the rest of the week.

Cost: $395 + tax
*Additional sessions can be booked at our normal private coaching rate.
*Ongoing program design can be had for reasonable monthly rates. Prices depend on the
needs and goals of each athlete.
